Eat right, Excercise more.

Today's post has been kept at the back burner for long, so I have decided to write about it today. Most of us have been told to work out, eat right, live right, drink with moderation, and do check up frequently. As true as that sounds, how many of us "actually" do, all of the above?

Looking trim, fit with a six pack with abs with toned thighs and biceps is a turn on for many girls (smiles), but it never grows on trees. For we ladies, looking at cosmopolitan magazines and watching models on the runway with sleek legs, a flat tummy, despite giving birth didn't happen overnight, dedication, consistency, perseverance and a lot of pain to enjoy the gain most of us envy.

Dawn of a New Era!!!

Change, a word synonymous with the new administration that has usurped the once ruling party, PDP, after 16 years of rule. Congratulations to Buhari and Nigerians that have proven once again that change is inevitable. A dawn of a new era begins now.

Relationships and life, like in politics need change, some more radical than others, but change nonetheless. Many couples are shackled by norms, traditions and fear that they are left behind when others are moving forward. Like Peter pan, in neverland, you never get old, timeless, ageless and archaic. Fear of making a mistake makes many never go anywhere in life. Fear of the unknown, fear of change and so many other things makes people stagnant in life.

THURSDAY TANTRUM.

I have a truck full load of tantrums that if I start, it will enter season 10. I'm sure, we all have a lot to tell too, so the time is now. Start throwing your tantrums.

We all can remember what happened last week/this week and we pray it doesn't repeat itself again. I'm also thankful that all the craziness has subsided.

Wednesday 27 May 2015

Love isn't sex.

Good day my dear Pamscribers, sorry for  starving you of your morning breakfast. I apologize and would do my best to make up. Hope the fuel fiasco has abated and gone back to the status quo. I really thank God that the craziness has stopped cos I was really beaten big time, it affected my every every but thank God we are back and better. I won't forget to thank you all for your words of encouragement, you are da bomb. God bless you all. To the post of the day:

A lot of notions have risen whereby sex has been linked to love, so the question is, Is sex a prove of Love?

In today's world, sex has been used more as an instrument, a bargaining chip to get what you want, also it has been used as a prove of love and all other things associated with it. The popular slogan of "using what you have to get what you want" is gaining popularity and becoming a norm now. Sex is becoming and has become a  currency in which love, affection, attention, money, power etc is bought and sold. I read in a magazine the other day about a guy that wanted the galfriend to have sex wit him to prove she loves him? How absurd!!! So, if she doesn't have sex, does that mean she doesn't love him? #shakeshead.

Most of us ladies  have either had situations where sex has been asked of us for favours, jobs, appointments, gifts etc. Turning it down or accepting is purely our choice. In terms of sex in the married context, couples either way can starve their spouse of sex to either show their anger/hate towards something or person, teach a lesson, or just a classic case of wanting your "better half" to want you more. In any scenario, sex and love may seem intertwined but aint the same. A man can have sex with a gal and not feel a thing for her and vice versa. Women are now masters in the art of "using" a man. #winks.

For what its worth, next time he or she asks/begs/pleads for a show of love, a sign through sex, just point to the next available exit, a little nudge or push is allowed or even a slap will give them a brain reset. So my dearies, do not fall for that old trick of proving your Love for someone through sex, they ain't the same and that person isn't worth your Love.
Do have a blast.

Lazy, random post.

Hello Pamscribers,  how are you all doing today? Abeg, make una no vex cos I've not been able to up my game of recent. So many things are the causer of it joor.

To be frank with you, I really don't know what to write about today cos my brain is currently going through a re-start process, so please I only came here to holla at you all. Also today is supposed to be a guest post day but none came in, blame it on the low battery and everything that has happened within this period, I really understand.

I just want to tell you all to hold on tight and strong cos there is always light at the end of the tunnel. Everything will be alright soon, this is our daily prayers. It's well with our souls. Amen.
Do takia of yourselves, and I hope I really get refreshed tomorrow for a killer post,  so till then, biko make una manage this one like that. Lolz. #tongueout.

Still on the fuel matter!!!

How una dey all thee Pamscribers, happy new work week to you all. Despite all the wahala, biko happy new week. A year or two ago, Lagos was adjudged as one of the worst places to live in in terms of security, health, amenities, sanitation, housing etc. Now, it's worster (biko, permit me to use that word).

For those residing in Lagos, aka, Eko, I presume the fuel situation is worth a story.  A friend was telling us about colleagues  at work that now sleep at work, just to save transport of going home and returning the next day, all due to the persistent fuel shortage. As at this moment, you are willing to spend the money for the outrageous fare but there isn't enough buses. I was at the bustop by past 6am and the queue at the bustop was as if there was a huge riot.

My street that is always noisy from both diesel and fuel operated generators has all of a sudden become quiet, wonders of fuel scarcity. Transport is now sky high and now, seeing people trek is now a norm.  Either the fare is too high or no buses.

For one of the first times in my adult life, banks, radio stations, airlines and even telecommunications outfits have been made to suffer, operations, services have almost been shut down or working at its minimum. I'm sure, the rest of the world is laughing at us right now, with a smirk of their face, we as self acclaimed "Giant of Africa", oil producing and yet, can't cater for its citizenry. What irony. Did you guys see the insults rained on us by the whites? Read that in Linda Ikeji's blog. Though, I got angry but we really deserved it.

A quote comes to mind, "he who the gods want to kill, they first make mad", is Nigeria that? Is oil a gift or curse?

I'm pained, angry, vexed, haven't had light in days now and thus, no water, no fuel to power the generator for those who have, pump water, my phone charger is now permanent at work. The fuel subsidy saga sounds like soft porn, compared to this now.

I overheard someone say he bought fuel at #500, per litre!!!!!!!, with an adjusted meter oo, WTF !!! 😬. A colleague said he entered 500 naira from his place to the bustop close to my office, something he normally enters 100 naira before this whole thing.

Nigeria, which way forward biko? The government of the day better do something  about this or I'm relocating to Benin Republic. Please, who can help me with directions?

#bringbackourfuel.

Sunday 24 May 2015

Una Happy Sunday ooo.

Happy Sunday to you all. A new work week beckons. Due to the continued fuel shortage/scarcity, my story bank has dried up pending when supply will occur. My apologies are heartfelt and sincere.

Yes, its another week, the last in the month of May. For most of us, month end brings us as much joy as Christmas to a child. A paycheck is on its way. Yes, but this time around I'm not happy at all. What's there to be happy about (apart from life) when almost all the money will go to transportations due to the undying fuel scarcity.

Please what is going on? I really feel like ranting today but today isn't Thursday, moreover I'm too weak for that. Imagine me standing at my work bustop around past 5am, and was there for more than 30 minutes cos there was no bus. My prayer was that I shouldn't be mobbed. I also noticed that for the past 3days now, cars are being parked overnight at a particular filling station close to my office, ofcourse, it's at their own risk, but what's the probability that the filling station will even sell?

I was passing by and overheard a car owner literally begging a black market seller to please sell a 7litres of fuel for 3500 naira, but the guy insisted on 4k last while walking away. Have you noticed that radio stations are now closing up really early for two days or more now. Classic fm started by 12pm and closed by 3pm today to resume 6am tomorrow, cos they are rationing. For people who have light,  how are the TV stations doing?

In fact,  this has turned to a mini tantrum post. I'm so angry joor. This is killing the masses. Do they expect Buhari to magically tell them to start selling fuel immediately he's sworn in or what? Is it his government that has refused to pay the debt? How long are we gonna remain like this in this country? How can an oil producing nation suffer like this? I'm tired joor.
Mum and Dad should better be Americans or Canadians in the next world cos I don't wanna be born here. No offence biko.
Una takia and a happy Sunday to you all. #straightface.

Biko, forgive me.

Forgive me Pamscribers for I have sinned against you all. I did night shift yesterday and when I came back this morning, I jumped on my bed for a quick nap, only to over-sleep and then jump off the bed by 11am.

Having noticed that I was already an hour late for a wedding that starts by 10am, I started battling between attending the wedding or continuing with my precious sleep, "NO, get behind me Satan, after buying asoebi, I must attend this wedding. Oh, yea spirit of attending weddings only 4 times in my life, I reject you oo.". With this, I rushed to the bathroom then remembered that " Pam, you need to eat oo, so that what happened in 1978 won't happen again", I didn't want to get there and start crying hunger-hunger. I had to rush back out to the kitchen for a quick indomie. I was basically acting like a mad person. Kai, how do you people do it, I need more experiences on "how to attend weddings with ease", abeg if you have a hand-book biko borrow me ejoo.

Does Love fade?

What is love without that glee, tingly , butterflies in the tummy feeling. But the question I want to ask is, does that feeling last forever, or does it fade off with time? After 10yrs with your spouse, do you still look at him or her and still have that butterfly in the tummy feeling?

I'm not a professional when it comes to love matters that's why I read a lot, and ask a lot of questions. I'm sure my married friends are tired of me and my incessant questions.

I've asked a few people the above questions, some said it won't be like that especially when the kids start coming, and with so many responsibilities, both of you will barely notice each other. A few others actually said that the glee will still remain there despite their full hands.

Now, this shit scares the hell out of me. You see, I love LOVE so much and I would love both of us to still have that glee deep within us even when we are over a hundred and grey with little or no teeth left in our mouth. I want to stare at him nd say, dear God, I love this man. I want to out of the ordinary carry this smirk on my face just about thinking of him. I really want to be drunk in love. I don't want us to ever fall out of love with each other.

So you see why it baffles me when I see or hear married people falling out of love with each other, especially when they were inseparable while dating. Statements like "this wasn't the man or woman I fell in love with" baffles me. Where did that man or woman go? Did an alien get into them or something?

Love should indeed be eternal and not temporary. Let me rest my case here.

So what do you friends think, can you still look at your partner and have that same feeling you had when you initially started dating? If eventually you fall out of love with someone, what do you do to fall back in love with the person? Take a break and later come back or just move on out of the relationship? Let's Gist dearies.

TGIF, do have a blast my lovelies. E-kisses and E-hugs to you all. I have a wedding to attend tomorrow after more than 4years, and which happens to be the 4th wedding I've attended since I was born. Lolz.

Tantrum Thursday.

Hello Pamscribers, how una dey? It's another Thursday of throwing tantrums concerning things that has pushed us to the wall during the week.

Some of these keke napep drivers can be so annoying. I entered one this week, and even as I screamed "owa oo" when I got to my bustop, the guy still kept on moving, and later dropped me at a place very far from my bustop. Upon that, he showed no remorse neither did he apologise concerning what he did, even as we all were shouting at him. I was so pissed at him and it took the fear for God for me to pay him his fare, although I had this strong will not to pay him. Imagine, he didn't even apologise, kept on proving unnecessary right. I almost regretted paying him the money oo, make I no lie. I would have walked away without paying him a dime, let him do his worse, thankGod, police station was close by.

This sun is too much oo, abeg, let it take it easy on us biko.
I'm tired of talking about fuel wahala and NEPA, I've got myself a rechargeable fan, so that settles the heat small.

Oya, talk your own. Cheers.

Go for it gal.

I've talked about this a little previously but I'll want to throw more light to it.
Can you as a lady ask a guy out, or tell a guy that you'll like both of you to become an item.

Yes, you've been showing all the necessary green light, but he seems too blind to notice it. Will you swallow your pride and walk up to him saying "bro, I like you and I want  us to date, what do you  think?" Or would you rather build a mansion with your pride and watch him walk into another girl's life while you watch and pout?

I know most of our answers will be "Nooo,  I can't do that abeg", I assume this is because we live in a society that kinda frowns on "that", and some guys may term the girl cheap and even take advantage of the opportunity. But, do you know that some other guys who really see this as bravery on the girls part? I know of a couple who started with the lady taking the first step.

Some ladies may not want to gamble or take the chances but isn't it worth a try? Guys, didn't some gals reject you even after letting your intentions known? But did the rejection stop you from trying again with someone else?

I just think that we girls should try and give this a shot. Some guys are too blind or too shy to tap into your flashy green light but you can help them by taking the first step. Strike a conversation, exchange pins, numbers, try to find out what he does for fun, movie or football. If movie, talk about a latest movie you'll like to see at the cinema, ask if he's interested to join.

If football, talk about an upcoming match that you'll want to watch in a viewing centre, and ask if he'll like to join. Share opinions. Be vast and creative. Yes, yours was an unofficial date, but with your efforts, he won't know when he fixes an official date. Make sure you don't force or throw yourself at him, so he will respect you. Sex isn't love. If you notice he's misinterpreting your efforts as sexual advances, run with your two legs biko,  he's not worth you at all.

Reason for this post is that I once allowed a good guy slip from my grasp and that it hurt was an understatement. I showed all the green lights but he was a shy person to approach me, only for me to watch another gal come and grab him oo. I was so hurt, especially when a mutual friend of ours told me that the guy really liked me but was scared of my bossy look. Which bossy look kwa. All thanks to my bossy look, I lost that guy. Lolz. But if I had done the above tips, he would have known how interested I am, and would give him the liver to talk his mind. Mtchww. Once beaten, twice shy oo. Can't happen again.  Lolz. I know some of you may try to deny this,  but you've been in a similar situation too.

So ladies, let's stop dying in silence by allowing the guys to always be the first in everything. Be the first sometimes. Don't be clouded by the1960 mentality, this is the 21st century. Ehmm, to the married women, so if konji is holding you big time,  but oga no start show,  you'll allow it die down? Why not be the first to start. I shouldn't be the one to tell you what to do cos I never marry oo. But we know that we are the seductress, everything in our body is tempting, use yours wisely for your husbands, believe me, he's going to carry this big smirk on his face all through the day.

Do have a lovely day Cribbers. Remember ladies, be creative. Don't allow another gal sway herself into a guy you've been working hard on, grab him wisely before she does. Hey, I didn't ask you to fight ooo,  cos na only you waka go be that.  Lolz.

Inspiration morning.

Good morning Pamscribers , hope you all slept well. It's another beautiful morning,  so let us dwell on this few inspiration quotes.

GUEST-POST TUESDAY : My girlfriend's sister wants me.

Hello Pam, I wanna bare my mind about something. As an avid reader of your blog, I say "thumbs up" for the good work.
Am a twenty six (26) year old male, have been dating my babe for more than three months now, and we are really serious.

As at three weeks ago, my girlfriend's younger sister came back from school and I got to meet her. A week or so ago after that, she sent me a message via WhatsApp, which I think she got my number from her sister's because I can't remember giving it to her. She was saying how much she likes and loves me, how she couldn't sleep since she saw me, confessing about wanting me and all that, even to the extent of sending her nudes to me and explicit chat. I have cautioned her and told her that I'm her sister's boyfriend, but what she said later shocked me. She said that she doesn't mind being my mistress even when I marry her sister. It will only be a secret between us. I won't bore you with all the details.
I really don't know what to do. I'm shocked that girls do these things. She doesn't mind hurting her sister, just to be with me. To say I'm shocked is an understatement.

Pam, I don't know wat to do, should I tell the sister, or act like nothing happened. Have stopped chatting with her for days now, but her calls and messages haven't stopped. Would my silence prevail and make her go, or should I tell the sister? Cribbers, give me your say on this matter. Thanks.

Real fact of life.

Have you ever thought about how you seem to have so many friends especially when you are at the TOP? They worship the ground you step on and will do anything to remain in your good books, but when any slight thing happens to you and you loose that glory and fall, they flee like the speed of light, na only you waka come be dat. They are the people that blind you from seeing those who are indeed TRUE to you.

Shoulder of Love.

Happy Sunday my lovely Crib mates, how are you all doing today? How was service, for those who went to church? May God bless us all. Amen.

Every now and then in our lives, we need, scratch that, we WANT a hug, a kind word, a kiss, a look that says "all is well". Life ain't fair, we weren't born with a handbook guiding us on how to live. A certain quote I read, said " we don't decide who our parents are, but we choose our friends".

Saturday 16 May 2015

Honey, how many sexual partners have you had????

Happy Saturday to you all and hope the Friday night was fair to you all. Today, we are doing a little soul searching and truth telling (smiles). In many relationships, couples live by the "if you don't ask, I won't tell" code, others prefer the "past is past" theory. While others love to share all, leaving no stone unturned. Whatever school of thought that you are, this question is pertinent for all, "would you tell your partner about your previous sex partners or lovers"?

This post is borne out of what happened to a friend of mine days ago, she had been dating this guy and they both seem so good together, not until both of them started sharing stuffs about their past sex life. As truthful as the gal thought she was, the guy saw her as having more than three past lovers as many and thus has started acting funny, so she says. Did she do wrong to tell the truth? Wasn't the truth supposed to set us free? And as ironic as this is, the guy in question had more than eight lovers. Are the men folk entitled to be more promiscuous than the women? Food for thought. (Posted for another day.)

In another case, a couple I know do tell each other everything, and when I mean everything, that's it. I was with them as she recounted a serial episode she had with an ex, and lo and behold, the boyfriend was there. He didn't flinch, I felt uncomfortable and when I asked her, she said she told him all about her past, and between them, there are no secrets that will one day come bite them in the ass. How many people, and I mean ladies included will know all about the partner they are dating and still love them the same way?

How will you as a guy feel when your gal confesses to have slept with ten men, aren't you gonna get sloppy within seconds? Won't you feel she is a whore? Must you tell?  Is omission the same as lying? For the men folk, would you genuinely tell your lady the truth about your sex life? Would you take the chance? Or would you rather lie so as to avoid being termed "promiscuous".

But seriously, why do you want to know about my sex- bodycount? Is it to know how sexually active I am or to know how slutty I've been so far, or what's the reason? What if I tell you and then it comes back to bite me on my ass, even after you promised it's going to be a friendly conversation. If you are being asked, will you tell? Let's share and talk, I'm waiting for your comments. Love and lots of E-hugs.

The Trekking Trend.

The long awaited day is here, TGIF. I wish I was a princess living in a big mansion,  with all I need around me, and never ever thinking about working in this life. Am I the only one that has this fantasy? Lol. Hmm, if wishes were indeed horses....., but I'm working this weekend. So it isn't TGIF for me. #sobs.

For the last couple of weeks and months, whenever I open a paper or blog, what would be staring back at me would be what I call "the trekking trend". Somebody is trekking for someone. Be it GEJ, Buhari etc. Is the trek for popularity, solidarity or awareness? Seems this trekking thing is now a Nigerian thing. The fad of the moment. When GEJ won the 2011 elections, I can't recall how many people did trek for him then, can you? Even when Naija won the Nations cup after a 13 years wait, no one, not even I, did trek to support our triumphant heroes.

I have come to see that this "trek fad" is endemic to politicians only and Nigeria. Obama became the first ever black man to occupy the oval office and not one man trekked in support of Obama. Abi the trekking thing na seasonal? #wondering.

I seriously don't get this. What's with the trekking? Is it that they don't have jobs,  cos if they do, who will permit them to exercise such stupidity? What pains me is that of a woman trekking with her 4 months old baby strapped to her back. Why risk the life of an innocent child biko?

The other lady trekker showed us a picture of her peeled legs, is that for us to sympathise with her? Who send her message?

Like I asked in a blog, how do they even charge their phones, since they sleep at the road side? And to the ladies, how do they cope when their monthly flow starts? Ladies will understand better. Do they even bath? Is there a price attached to their trekking? Automatic employment or cash? Abeg, I just tire. It's all senseless. If they had told them to match against corruption, fuel scarcity or unemployment, will they have done that? I'm vexing joor.

I seriously think that unemployment has a part to play here. So please, more jobs should be provided, which will make people more occupied with better things than trekking for politicians. I rest my case.
Do have a wonderful weekend Crib mates. E-kisses.

Thursday Tantrum!!!

Hallos my beautiful and handsome people on this blog, how y'all doing? As for me, I'm doing great, all thanks to Baba God oo, He's been so good to me and mine. All praise to Him.

This is to welcome you to another episode of Tantrum Thursday, a forum where we rant our hearts out on issues that affected us during the week. Instead of carrying the weight of your anger all around, why not let it all out here. So here's mine.

Abeg, what is happening to this fuel stuff, e still use style scarce small. Has anybody heard anything so far about curbing the scarcity? Cos the transport hike is really dealing with me and the money that I've already budgeted for transport this month is almost finished. I'm almost at the verge of using feeding money for transport. This thing should just stop. It's no longer a joke anymore.

Whatever thing they are doing up there should just stop, it's seriously affecting the masses. Hmmm, even my neighbour that claims he can't sleep without light, who runs the generator all through the night, disturbing the peace of his neighbours now sleeps without it. When I jokingly asked him what happened, he replied that he couldn't get fuel, I just said, "I thought you can't sleep without light", he couldn't say anything. Lolz. Don't mind me oo, that guy is kinda annoying with him claiming right that he can run his noisy generator all through the night, not minding who he's disturbing with it. People should learn how to be considerate and learn that the world doesn't revolve around them.

Ehmm, the rain that beat me yesterday was something else. I just dey like fowl wey water pour for im body. No be small thing oo. I was just telling myself, Pam, shey you've been praying for rain all these while, oya na, see rain now. The worst part was that there was no shelter around the bustop, neither was there any bus to quickly jump in to. So, I just stood there, dey really pity my cold self.

Abeg, I don't have anything else to say, but  please they should do something about this fuel issue BIKO.
Your turn.

Bleaching things.

Few days ago, I bumped into an old friend of mine, after the normal girlie glee, giggles and hugs, my big eye noticed that the once upon a time dark and beautiful skinned lady, has now transformed into a fair skinned lady.

My curious self asked her what happened to her former skin, she simply said that "skin bleaching is the in thing now, and that no lady wants to be dark anymore." Say what??? I told her pop and plain that if I were to be a guy, I would graciously choose the dark her a hundred times over to this fair version of her. At the long run, she just termed me "old school" and walked away.

GUEST POST: Inter-tribal marriage wahala.

Hello Pam, how are you doing today? I am a huge ghost reader, sorry I really loved yesterday's post and that is the reason why I'm sending this. For the record, you are doing a great job. Keep it up.

This tribal stuff is somehow coming to bite me in my back soonest. I was born and brought up in a family with both of my parents from different tribes, so imagine my shock when the specifically listed tribes which I and my siblings shouldn't dare have a relationship with.

I've tried to reason with them but they have remained adamant and have sworn to not attend anybody's wedding if we go against them. But, when I asked them if I can marry a white man, they replied in the positive.

Love and ethnicity.

Hello Pamscribers, how has your day been so far? Today is a day many of us dread, Mondays. Just like that and the weekend is over. Truly, weekends are made in China. Lol. One day its Friday morning and before you know it, Saturday and Sunday are past, and the dreaded Monday is upon us once again. Anyways, hope you made good use of the weekend? Cos if you didn't, you have to wait another five days.

For today,we are going to discuss about something .....well here is it. Would you date/marry someone from a tribe your parents forbid?
Some parents are highly ethnic biased and would prefer a certain tribe to another for their children and wards, irrespective of what their children want or whom their heart is for.

HOPE in BELIEVING...

Happy Sunday folks, for those who went to church, how was service today, for those who didn't how are you all doing today? The weekend is almost over and most of us would go back to work come Monday and toil and strive till Friday again .

As the week begins, we make plans, set targets, but we don't know what tomorrow brings. Today is a perfect time to sit back, reflect and give thanks to "He" who gives life. Be grateful and believe that this week will bring forth good tidings to our lives.

Fight over who???

Happy Saturday lovelies and how was your Friday night? Hope the coffee this morning did help, for those who went clubbing (lol). And for us that still have to go to work, even on Saturday's, it's well with our souls.  Man must wack abi? Things we do to survive.

Today's post is as a result of an incident that occurred a few days ago in my area, where a lady had a fight with another lady over a guy. The irony is that both gals were friends (don't know if after the fight, they will still remain friends) and the guy was just standing in a corner, a smirk on his face and feeling all good with  himself. He is the prize that the gals are competing for. As I looked at him, I personally felt like going over to punch his face. And our gals no dey try at all shaa. When lots of guys abound, why fight? And don't guys have a code or something? Aren't your girlfriend's friends' off limit?

TGIF biko!!!

Today is another Friday and TGIF, another  day where we actually breath a sigh of relief from the long week.

During the week, most of us had gone through a lot that actually almost had us to quit, throw in the towel, roll over and play dead, yet, we never gave up to give in, cause like it's said, "almost no dey kill bird".

You will go through a helluva more, it's  your choice to give up. Are you a quitter at the first trial?  Do you succumb to defeat and like many say "I have tried"? And that is just after one attempt. If our lives were to be made out in a movie, who would star as you in the movie (who dey cry pass for Naija film?) Would your part be played by our own Nkem Owoh, who sees a good side in every bad deal? Life doesn't come with  a manual, we learn everyday.

Mistakes are what we learn from, not generally our's, but others too. Making the same mistake twice is stupidity. When you look back at your life now, what mistakes defined you? If you could turn back the hands of time, which mistake would you wish you didn't make? My own plenty ooo.  Fulls cap go full am. We didn't sit down and mop, we forged on, that's the hallmark of a successful person.

The greatest revenge to those who said you wouldn't make it is to be successful. I do believe in you, do same for yourself.
From today, stand up, dust yourself up, keep your head up, smile and try again.  Successful people never give up. I won't, would you? Have a lovely weekend my lovelies. E-hugs.

Tantrum Thursday!!!

Over the past week, thanks to the scarcity of fuel, I was stuck in a bus as the driver had to wait on a long queue to buy fuel, after collecting our fares. Can you imagine that!! The refuse collectors in my area decided to take a mandatory strike, thus, our refuse had to stay outside and cause not only an eyesore, or air pollution, but it brought rodents and cat-like rats to scavenge and litter the place. Saw a rat and I literally stood transfixed. The rat was huge. Lagos rats na wa oooo.

The incessant power outage is now a norm. Two whole days we didn't have light, and when PHCN did find it in their heart to pity us with light, it came in form of a voltage so high, it burnt people's electronics, we had to even beg them to take it. God is watching.

Fuel scarcity has helped hike the cost of transport fares. Getting to work now is war, traffic has increased times two. Please they should just do something about it.

So Crib mates, what happened to you over the past week?

Is Chivalry dead?

Hello, Pamscribers, good day and how is your day going? Today's post is in no way condemning, just an observation from my part.

First of all, I'll like to ask, What happened to romance in relationships? By romance, I don't mean the bedroom job and all that, I mean holding hands in public, appreciating your man/woman in and outside the house, hugging and even kissing him/her in public. Yes, some-people are too shy to be kissed in public, what about the others who craves for the attention? Those people who actually wants you to flaunt them to the public eye, to your friends and all. What happened to chivalry? Is the age of being "a gentleman" dead and buried? Does it have to do with our colour, race or has the economy played a part?

GUEST POST: When fiance gives an ultimatum.

Dear Pamscribers, how are you all doing today. Xoxo. I'll just go straight to the point.

I've been dating this guy for two years now and he's been sweet so far and by God's grace we are getting married this year and have started the preparations.
Recently, he's been insisting I delete myself from Facebook, that I have a lot of friends and admires so he isn't comfortable with it anymore. I still try to dodge all that because I don't want to delete my facebok account, he noticed and has finally given me an ultimatum of 10 days. I don't understand all these his giving of ultimatum.

JOAN; My Love Eternal.

Do you believe in ghosts? I do. Even as I write this, I feel goose bumps on my skin. I shudder.
Today is the second year anniversary of Joan's death. That I loved her will be the assumption of the Century, Joan was me. I loved her so much that it hurts. We weren't perfect, but we knew our frailties and worked on them.

Today is the second year anniversary of her death. I still miss her. Standing and looking at the calendar, I said a silent prayer for her like I do a thousand times.

My journey to where I am now started four years ago, just like any other day, not knowing what fate had in store for me. Would I have stayed back home if I had known? More questions than answers.

Fight of the Century.

Good day to you all Pamscribers and a happy post workers day to you all. How queue dey? Was waiting on queue like forever to buy fuel in respect of the non-availability of light, and the intensity of the sun eh!! God help us. Na original suntan be this ooo. If you see me now, I have suntanned wella. Hmm, it's well.

The rave of the moment now is the boxing fight that seems to be on everyone's lips, the fight of the century as it is named between Floyd Mayweather and Manny Pacquiao is going to be a great fight. I'm not really a boxing fan, but the hype and intensity have gotten to me.

Curses and it's effects.

I read something on Stella's blog a few days ago which made me scream the WTF word. This curse thing is real. A guy first asked his girlfriend to swear she isn't sleeping around, when she swore, he later cursed her that no man but him will go "in" there and live. The irony was that, as the gal swore the oath, the guy didn't, thus, making him not as vulnerable as the gal. He hasn't renounced it yet as at that time.

This took me back to weeks ago when I  and a few friends were talking about curses. A lady in our midst said that during her University days, she broke up with her boyfriend, only for the guy to place a curse on her saying she won't ever find love.  She was scared to the bones, but the guy renounced it after few days. Now I know of a girl that the same thing happened to but she didn't believe it, after 4 years of having failed relationships, she remembered the curse and went back to her ex and begged him to renounce the curse. The guy laughed over it and said that he didn't mean it back then, the girl insisted, so he finally renounced it.

This shit is real mehn. But wait oo, why should a guy bring out kolanut and all,  asking me to swear if he's the only "Moses that crosses my red sea" and I accept. Biko, I smoke weed ni? Why should I try to please someone and then displease myself thereby putting myself in harms way. No be me and you oo, infact na only you Waka come be that.

No swearing, cursing or blood oath/covenant for me, I no fit shout. Please be wise and shine your eyes well well, to avoid running from one prayer house to another .

If someone asks you to swear, flee with your two left legs without looking back, don't go and carry another person's generational curse on your head cos of love. If he/she really loves and trusts you, they won't ask for something as diabolic as that. Ha, I fitn't agree oo. I don commot.
But let me ask you all, do you believe in curses, and will you swear just to keep a relationship or marriage? Let's gist biko.

Do have a beautiful weekend and a happy workers day crib-mates. E-kisses and e-hugs to you all.
